      Default Just An Idea...

      What if we made a new sub-forum for contests? Sometimes I struggle a little finding the specific regional contests from week to week, and it seems like putting contests, and only contests in a specific location would streamline things a bit.

      Anyone else?

      We have been tagging the contest threads. The easiest way to find the contests is to do a tag search for them. You can do so here:

      We did that before and the results are that the contests get much more attention in the high school forums than they did separately.

      DF is on the ball with the tag search, that makes it really easy to locate them all.

      We currently tag it "results", which doesn't seem to have any overlap with other tags. If it ultimately does, we may revise that.

      Scroll down to the bottom, below the thread information box, just above the bottom of the page here. There's a field where we can input a "tag". A tag is a label that allows for an automatic quick search that lists all threads with the same tag.

      For example, any threads that I see relating to music, I tag with the word "music". Then if I click on that tag, or go to the tag cloud function (which allows searches for that tag), it will bring up ALL the threads that I've tagged with the word "music".

      The tags are also viewable on that panel to the right of the threads (you'll see Latest Threads, Latest Replies, then Tag Cloud), as well as in the Advanced Search (Advanced Search - BluegrassPreps.com) at the bottom of that page. That's on the full version of the site.

      Thread tags are also on the mobile version, at the top of a thread, and are also in the search (though in the search you have to put it in instead of seeing the tag cloud). The ForumRunner App doesn't use tags.
