Have you had more than one name since joining BGP?

This is my third. Not because I got suspended or anything. After a few years and some people start to figure out who you are, I change it up. Not that I am hiding, but so that I can still harass those that need it.

Not that they call me to my face......

One and only.

I took a brief hiatus one year in college. My membership expired and at the time I couldn't figure out how to pay my fee. So I just created a new account. If I remember right it was MJAlltheWay25. Once again, if I remember right, theguru merged the accounts for me.

So techinically I have had two names, but not really. Kind of like how Jordan wore three numbers while in the NBA: 23, 45, and 12. Jordan wore #12 during a game (On Valentine's Day) because his jersey was stolen. Little nugget of useless knowledge for ya.

Only one for me, Don't even know what other name I could even pick if I went by another one.

I had another one years back. I stepped away from BGP for a year or two and got a new one when i rejoined.

This is my second. I originally registered under a different name in 2001 when I thought I was headed to college at the University of Illinois. The name reflected such. A few weeks later I got a scholarship letter from the University of Dayton and I abandoned the Illini forever. Changed the name to something more general just in case that sort of nonsense ever happened again.

Getslow is more general? I've got to admit, I've been curious for a while as to what the significance of your username is. Care to elaborate upon it?

Sure. It's a nickname from high school. My history teacher freshman year at Trinity couldn't say my name properly and instead of asking, he barreled through it and then kept using the mispronunciation throughout the year. That man was the affable and excellent Gene Eckert, who taught me all about the Council of Trent, the Peace of Westphalia and the Spanish Armada. Great teacher. Anyway, several of the guys in the class picked up on it and it wasn't too long before most people knew me that way. There are people to this day that still call me Getslow.

Just one. Who do I look like? Mitt Romney? I'm doing good to afford this one. Times are hard. Shew.....

Haven't changed yet over the years, no need to really sign up again. I like this one.

This is #2 for me...the younger and much more immature me was suspended once for making some stupid comments. Won't happen again.
