Like many I've been trying to figure out how to capitalize on the energy market. Fortunately I have two that have done well.

NOV National Oilwell Varco is up about 30% in less than 6 months.
EOG EOG Resources is up about 17% in about a month.

Housing market improved a bit in summer - Economy Watch

Existing home sales rose 2.3 percent last month, with sales rising to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of to 4.47 million units, up from 4.37 million units in June, the National Association of Realtors said Wednesday. That was just below analysts' expectations of a 4.52 million-unit rate. Sales were 10.4 percent above the 4.05 million-unit pace in July 2011.

Low interest rates and a modest improvement in the labor market helped home buying conditions, the NAR said.

Assuming the economy recovers and we all don't die in 2012, this financial meltdown is really going to help me personally in the long run. I''m in the process of doing a REFI on my home for 15 years at 2.875%. Never would have thought I could get a home loan rate that low. It's going to say me tons of money in the long run.

APPL closed at $691. Now I'm getting to the point where I have to think about how best to grow the pot.

Let's say APPL goes up $10 per share soon. That's only a 1.4% growth rate. Do I sell and put the total in another stock(s) that have higher growth potential?

    What to do???

Projections for US mobile payments industry to grow from ~$11B today to ~$57B by 2016. Many ways to get in on some of that action. Ideas?

Any ideas how BGPers? Some serious money to be made here.

I think that will pay off in the future. Might be an opportunity to add some more.

My biggest debate now isn't around Netflix. It's around Apple. Can I cash in and do better with my money than I can from this point on with Apple? If it goes up $50 that's only an 8% gain. My guess is there are others out there than can top that.

I'd agree, keep a small position out of your profits possibly but move on to other things.
