I've been meaning to post in this thread all week, just now getting to it. I love 80% of the bands on the list and acts like Led Zep, Hendrix, Dylan, Pink Floyd are among my all time favorites, so choosing best song from them is difficult for me. I guess its like picking a favorite child, and for bands like Zeppelin and Pink Floyd (post Syd Barret) they didn't really make any bad songs, so that makes it even tougher. But, with that said, I'll go with....

The Beatles - Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band
    Led Zeppelin - No Quarter
Pink Floyd - Us and Them
Bob Dylan - Rock Me Mama (basically the song that developed into "Wagon Wheel")
    Aerosmith - Dream On
Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven
Queen - Fat Bottom Girls (only queen song I like)
    Elton John - Your Song
The Who - Behind Blue Eyes
    Tom Petty - Fooled Again
    Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter
    The Police - Roxanne
    Eagles - Desperado
    Bob Seger - Main Street
    Bruce Springsteen -
    AC/DC - Girls Got Rhythm
Van Halen - Aint Talkin Bout Love
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Run Through the Jungle
    Chicago -
Grand Funk Railroad - American Band
    Kiss - Love Gun
Lynyrd Skynyrd -Cry For the Bad Man
ZZ Top - I Need You Tonight
The Allman Brothers Band - Midnight Rider
    Jimi Hendrix - Machine Gun
