That looks weird...Japan's gymnastic coach waving cash in front of the judges as he makes an inquiry.

Our men's gymnastics team completely collapsed. I sure how we don't see something similar from the women tonight.
Missy Franklin is awesome! Very happy for her. She seems extremely genuine.

Enjoyed the men's backstroke with USA snagging gold and silver. Fun to watch Cincy's St X Thoman get the silver!

I almost wonder if to an extent he stayed competitive long enough to qualify for the Olympics, get the endorsements, get payed and then ride off in to the sunset regardless of how he performs in London.
I don't think many expected him to come anywhere near what he did four years ago since that was a once-in-a-lifetime performance.
He would have had a gold already had Lochte not choked it away in the relay.
He has a strong chance of winning gold tonight.
He will still go down as the greatest swimmer ever.

If anything I think that Lochte is the one whose not living up to expectations more than Phelps.
And Missy Franklin is blowing expectations out of the water.

Good for NBC to show the Today Show promo with the teenage swimmer from Colorado celebrating her gold medal with her parents BEFORE they showed her race.

He certainly didn't come out quite like a lot of folks expected, had a great start then just been kind of getting through it all ever since.

I love Phelps and I'm happy for him, just not sure if was nearly half as focused for these games as he was 4 years ago. It's somewhat understandable I just wanted some more of what he gave us in 2008.

I think he was as focused as you can get after your third Olympics, just age and life gets in the way.
To all the naysayers that thought he should just not even show up for London 2012, I'm so glad Phelps did not listen. He is an Olympic Champion through and through. What a treat for us to get to see him do it again!
