    ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
    WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

    THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOUISVILLE HAS ISSUED A WINTER
    STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
    WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

    * TIMING...SNOW BEGINNING BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 3 AM WEDNESDAY. THE
    BULK OF THE SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED BETWEEN 3 AM
    AND NOON.

    * ACCUMULATIONS...PLAN FOR 2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW WITH THE
    POTENTIAL FOR 4 TO LOCALLY 6 INCHES.

    * MAIN IMPACTS...THE POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
    WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS ROAD CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY FOR THE
    WEDNESDAY MORNING COMMUTE. EXPECT TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES AND PLAN
    FOR DELAYS IN GETTING TO YOUR DESTINATION. SNOW WILL QUICKLY
    ACCUMULATE ON ROAD SURFACES.

    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

    PERIODS OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED TO CREATE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES AND
    HAZARDOUS ROAD CONDITIONS. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT
    SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WHICH MAY FURTHER IMPACT TRAVEL. CONTINUE TO
    MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.

    WEDNESDAY MORNING...

    THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
    WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY
    MORNING.

    THIS WATCH COVERS A LARGE PART OF WESTERN KENTUCKY AND PORTIONS OF
    SOUTHERN ILLINOIS FROM MARION SOUTH AND EAST.

    * ACCUMULATIONS... THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR AROUND 4 INCHES OF
    SNOW IN THE WATCH AREA. SOME SLEET MAY BE MIXED WITH THE SNOW.

    * TIMING...SNOW WILL SPREAD SOUTHEAST TO THE OHIO RIVER BY
    MIDNIGHT...THEN ACROSS WESTERN KENTUCKY AFTER MIDNIGHT. SEVERAL
    HOURS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW ARE POSSIBLE. THE SNOW WILL END
    ON WEDNESDAY MORNING.

    * MAIN IMPACT...THE SNOW WILL READILY STICK TO PAVED
    SURFACES...CAUSING A RAPID DETERIORATION OF TRAVEL CONDITIONS.
    THE WEDNESDAY MORNING COMMUTE WILL LIKELY BE VERY HAZARDOUS.

    * OTHER IMPACTS... VISIBILITY MAY BE UNDER ONE HALF MILE DURING
    THE PERIOD OF HEAVIEST SNOW.

    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

    A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT
    SNOW...SLEET...OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT WOULD GREATLY IMPACT
    TRAVEL. STAY TUNED FOR LATER STATEMENTS. THIS WATCH WILL BE
    UPGRADED TO A WARNING IF WINTER STORM CONDITIONS BECOME MORE
    CERTAIN.
