    nWo's forecast > anyone else's forecast

Evidence? All of his previous threads vs. everyone else's predictions.

Thank you nWo! You and Chris Bailey are the only people I trust with the weather. You are a real asset to this site and greatly appreciated.

Everyone be safe tonight and tomorrow morning!
I don't know where the 1-8" comes from. I've said 1-2 then upped it to 1-3 with some maybe seeing 4".

He's absolutely right. Maysville is in the areas where I called for 4-6 inches now. I just checked there is a 30-40% of seeing 8".

Once again I want to emphasize I'm worried more about those in SEKY they are looking at a significant ice accumulation that could cause power outages. Some parts of SEKY can see up to .50" of ice!

let me try to explain why there is such a discrepancy from weather forecaster to forecaster. IMO, some will concentrate on just one or two weather models. Some models are better than others. I hate to say it but the American weather models are 2nd to the European weather model. It really is the best one going because they use the best strongest computers. The NWS here in the United States is supposed to be upgrading their computers and programs.

When I do my outlooks/forecasts. I try to look at all the models, if time permits. Then try and calculate a happy medium between all of them.

Specifically for Somerset, are we looking to be in the "ICE ZONE" or more Rain to Snow?

Looking like the snow is going to get here quite a bit earlier that first projected by NWS around 10pm instead of 3 to 4am that was projected

I got Somerset in the ice zone. Now that is not saying you won't get any snow. Just be prepared for ice and snow.

Jumper_Dad go to this thread and you can see on the radar that the freezing rain/ice is moving towards your area.

Looks like about 8 inches on the ground here just outside of Maysville, and a Level 2 snow emergency for the county.

Not nearly enough to satisfy our friend All In. He's not happy at all.
