1988 Dodge Colt with 4 on the floor. Tiny single barrel carbuerator. Go carts have more features and technology. The tires were not much bigger than a go carts either. Going up hill almost required sticking your foot out the door to help it along.

Sounds a lot like my first car. A 63 Ford Falcon. Burnt oil like nobody's business. I think I got about 25 miles per quart. Only paid $75 for it and drove it for almost a year. Sold it for $50.

Went from that to a 70 Bonneville 455 convertible. Banana yellow with a black top and black interior.

Drove that until I left for college.

1987 - Pontiac Sunbird. Coolest car ever right? LOL. That being said I did the best I could with it. Spent a fortune getting the windows tinted, and put a very high dollar stereo system in it. A system that my adult self, would hate to hear. And in typical fashion, my car was broken into, at WKU, and all of it was stolen. They did so much damage that my car was totaled.

First car I ever drove was a 1957 ford truck owned by my fathers friend whom I did yard work for when I was 14 or 15 years old. My first car was a 1979 Mercury Monarch that I drove for the first year or so I had my license. My parents then bought me a brand new 1987 Ford Escort. 4 speed, no AC, no radio (although I did eventually get one) no special options at all. I drove that for almost 10 years.

The first vehicles I ever drove was our 1957 International 230c tractor and 1968 International 1500 flatbed truck. Most of this was on the farm, but I did have to drive up Buffalo Road, KY511, from time to time when working my grandfather's farm and fields Dad rented to raise corn. I was 10 when this all started.

Not to jack this thread, but a friend of mine started with his first car and took a picture with him in the identical pose in every car he ever owned. They are framed and hang in order throughout his garage. At 70+, he probably has 30+ pictures which clearly depict the stages of his life and his personal aging progress. Wish I had thought of this as a young man.

Learned to drive behind the wheel of my dad's Ford Crown Victoria. I'm pretty sure he was the only man under age 70 that wasn't a cop driving a Crown Vic.

A 1976 98 Olds. Big, massive car and engine — 455 four-barrel. It hovered. It was originally silver with blue trim, but dad had it painted all blue and we called it The Bluesmobile.

I learned to drive on an early 1950ís model Chevy pickup. I think it was a Ď53 that dad owned. Standard shift in the column.
