What recurring dreams, if any, do you have?

Make sure you exercise really hard after work each day.

Most of these are “loss of control” dreams. A very common theme.

I've been running some, but I've been a workout before work person for 10 years now. 1st shift is just a different animal for me, no problem getting to sleep, just staying asleep.

Which I've never fully understood. I get that they supposedly represent that feeling but typically don't feel they're warranted for myself.

I have dreams that regularly involve rivers, but that is the closest to anything recurring for me.

I woke up this morning from, once again, a dream where I was working. This one had a twist. I was on the road and ordering dinner. I asked for a Bushmill’s and a shrimp salad.

That’s when I realized it had to be a dream.

I always have the same nightmare. It's not much of a nightmare anymore I've had it so many times. The people are always different but the dream always revolves around my grandma's old house, me, and a witch. It's also the only dream I have that is in black and white.

I've had it so many times now that I can wake myself up from it when I realize i'm in it.

What about you? What are your recurring dreams?
I grew up with the "special talent" of physically being able to fly. I would simply take off by running and flapping my arms bent fully at the elbow and soar as those on the ground would smile amazed. Sometimes I did heroic things, other times just to entertaind and/or embarassingly show off. This recurring dream would happen often growing up and always bring special delight. Now at 73 it might happen once per year, but always makes me delight at the experience.

For many years, I had nightmares where I had only a class left to finish my Masters, but I was late to the classroom, couldn't find the classroom, etc. and completion was in limbo. I achieved my Masters working full time, at night, with a family, and it was a very stressful time. I also have recurring nightmares that I still work at various companies from my career, and I have a meeting, or I am starting over there etc. Lastly, I have golf nightmare, where I am playing in a tournament or something like that, and I am preparing for my shot, but for whatever reason, I cannot get in a swing and hit the shot, and people are waiting. Maybe I just remember the nightmares.

    I am not on drugs.
