Sep 9, 19, 09:57 AM #20More often than not I go with butter and homemade preserves or homemade jelly.
I go with toast for several varieties of sandwiches, but when it comes to eating it as a snack or along with breakfast/brunch, it's almost always preserves or jelly.
Kind of an aside, people underestimate how damn good homemade preserves and jelly are in comparison to store-bought. It's really not all that difficult to do either. Right now in our pantry we've got peach preserves, blackberry preserves, strawberry preserves, nectarine jelly, and crabapple jelly - all made by my wife and me.
