Well, I heard today that local police went to question Rip Van Winkle...but as usual he was found fast asleep and appeared he had not moved for some time.

I hope whoever stole the Pappy doesn't do anything stupid with it - like mix it with coke!

Interesting that this story also has a Bardstown angle, this being the Bourbon Capitol of the World.

Whenever I get a rare one like the Pappy's, I get 2 bottles.
That way I can drink one and put one into the collection. Guess I'll start drinking it much faster when it gets closer to time my time to be stored in an OAK box...

I read the article about the Bardstown Principal. Interesting he hired an attorney but it probably is a good idea. However, I don't want to hear from him or is attorney as much as I want to hear from the clerk at the store.

    Please keep us posted everyone.

On a side note, do teachers and administration get vacation hours during the school year? It said he was out of town all week in Hilton Head for a wedding. Or is this something you can get an exception for?

When I was at Trinity teachers did not get vacation other than typical school breaks (Summer Break, Fall Break, Christmas Break, Spring Break, etc.) but did get one or two personal days to take care of things that would come up which couldn't be put off till the next break from classes. Administrators were expected to work all breaks so we were given vacation. My guess is that is how it works for Nelson Co. Schools though the administrators directly involved with academics (principal, vice principal, etc.) generally took vacations during breaks.
