This one will seem odd to some, but spend a good chunk of a Saturday with nice weather at Spring Grove Cemetery. There are some amazing things to see there, and if you do some research before you go there is some pretty cool historical connections to the cemetery.

It's been a LONG time, but I took in a regional final game there when Lofton was playing. It was pretty nuts.

    5. Get a chilito from Taco Casa.
Get a burger from Zip's, while sitting at the bar, and have the chili while you're there. When finished, walk around Mt. Lookout Square -- one of the coolest 'hoods in Cincinnati.

The one in Fairfield has the BEST bathroom door in the United States. Trust me.

Making note of this to bring it back in a thread for the most odd posts in BGP for 2018.

I've done this one. A few times, actually. Nippert is one of this country's hidden sports treasures and has a fantastic environment for soccer.

That atmosphere was only made better when Louisville City would come to town and win all the time.

I've been to Music Hall twice and can't wait to go back. Louisville has a theater comparable to Aranoff in the Center for the Arts and comparable to the Taft in the Brown. Even with the Palace, Louisville has nothing quite like Music Hall. Spectacular and massive old venue.

We'll go to at least one opera when the season starts in June.

I live pretty close to Mt. Lookout. Haven't done Zip's yet, but you're not the first to mention it. The special lady and her college friends are longtime Arthur's devotees so we've already been there a couple times for burgers.

Just curious, what is goetta and what does it taste like or compare to?

Basically a pork-and-grain sausage. German immigrant food. Add oats to the pork sausage to make it go further.

Personally, I like it pan-fried with a little maple syrup, though balling it up, dipping it in a little batter, and deep-frying it is also OBVIOUSLY delicious.

Hmmm...never expected a syrup component to this. Is the taste similar to a sausage ball?

If you haven't seen it, Music Hall looks very nice after the recent refurbishment.

It can be, but there is some more that they do with it. It has been said that 99% of all goetta is consumed in Greater Cincinnati. During the summer, entire festivals are dedicated to goetta and the many ways it can be cooked and served. BTW, I like it with syrup too.

I almost had my wife convinced that it was really the only option in the store.
