    I-75 North Construction Questions?

Was in a 25 minute standstill on 75 heading home from Florence Mall this afternoon. Is this the norm everyday for the commute? When will this construction in that area wrap up? Any different directions suggestions for future trips to and from Florence or Turfway? Thanks

It appears to be backed up in varying degrees north on I-75 everyday around afternoon rush hour.

Man I feel for anyone that has to plan their way around that commute coming and going on a daily basis. The last time down that way they was working on 75 south before getting to Turfway exit, South was fine today, but man North was backed up past to where to exit for Red Lobster and this was before noon. Won't be going back anytime soon

Sounds like you need to find a free parking space in the vicinity.

At the time, basically #75 was my free parking place, wasn't much moving going on

Exactly, my manager and his family went to Red Lobster last night at dusk and had zero issue coming and going. Don't know why a late Saturday morning would cause such a backup. That's why I was posting to see how this was all playing out during a normal work week, would think that section of Interstate would compare to the Brent Spence Bridge and the cut in the hill as places not condusive to long stretches of construction. Haven't heard many complaints though it seems.

I just came south 30 minutes ago and it was backed up, not bad, but it was really slow.

I travel to Covington Holmes quite frequently from Florence and just told a friend I can get to Lexington quicker it seems. I gave up on fridays trying to get to Covington via I75. I take Weaver to Turkeyfoot rd to I 275. Best of luck with traffic in general in this area anymore.

Someone I know that works down that way that travels from Mason County told me about the those Turkeyfoot Road directions you described above, also told me the construction company in charge of that work did AA work in Mason County so plan on a 2025 finish date

Louisville to Cincinnati has gotten extremely annoying as of late. Tried getting off in Florence and working my way northeast to 275 yesterday but I’m not convinced it got me across the river any quicker.

Went to Newport yesterday for dinner. Ended up getting off at Walton and took 16 over into Independence, and then jumped on 17 and took it up to 275 and subsequently, 471. Don't know if it was any faster or not, but at least we were always moving.

And don't you love it when it is backed up and you don't see anyone actually working?
