    GE Factory Fire In Louisville

Anyone else following this? The smoke was darkening out a good bit of the sky all the way across the river in Jeffersonville, Indiana this morning...

The city of Louisville has had 100+ firefighters out trying to control the fire, and it was big enough that an approximately 1/2 mile diameter heat signature was showing up on the weather radars on the morning news here in Louisville.

    Absolutely crazy!

About two miles from where I live. It was really bad first thing this morning. The smell of burning plastic was very prominent.

I just had an emergency "Shelter In Place" alert come over my phone. They're asking anyone within a 1/2 mile radius to stay in their homes with all windows and doors shut through Sunday to avoid inhalation of dangerous fumes. Makes for a bummer of an Easter egg hunt.

My brother works (worked?) in that building. Warehousing and the transportation/shipping offices. Don't know what else. He's fine; his workload isn't. It's going to be a mess trying to figure all this out.

Just wondering...could this have been caused by the strong lightning this morning?
