I'm not big on fish, but as a Catholic during lent, sometimes you just have to eat some. The Wendy's version is pretty basic, fish, lettuce, tarter sauce and a bun. I think the fish is more mild tasting which appeals to me and the tarter sauce is pretty good. I guess to me it just taste a few steps above what you get at McDonalds or Burger King, just as their burgers are. And compared to a fish sandwich from Long John Silvers, which is usually just a piece of their fish on a bun, it is way less greasy and the breading just goes better on a sandwich than the thick batter on LJS fish.

I don't think I've ever had Frisch's fish sandwich, I'll have to give it a try. Unfortunately I have to cross the bridge over to Ohio to get one.

McKenzie's pool room in West Liberty used to have the best fish sandwiches around if they still open.

If you are in Norther KY The Greyhound Grill has the best one in these parts. Not a chain, but awesome!

Less than a mile off I75 at the Crescent Springs exit which is about exit 186? Their fish and fried chicken are excellent!

Yes. If you are traveling north on 75 take the Buttermilk Pike exit, turn right and follow buttermilk pike to Dixie Highway. Greyhound is on your left. The parking lot is actually on the left immediately before you get to Dixie highway. Get their onion rings too!
