    Favorite Cocktail Drink/Recipes

The "when was your last drink" thread sparked this idea. Let's hear everyone's favorite drink. If you have a specific recipe, share that too so we can all be drunks together.

A good buddy of mine works for Brown Forman, so I typically use their products. A few of my simple favorites are:

    Jack and Coke
    Woodford and Ginger Ale
    Kentucky Mule

Mandarin vodka up! Shaken really hard.
if no Orange flavored Vodka is available I'll go with Vodka up with a twist. Every once in a while it will be with blue cheese stuffed olives.

    Or Miller Lite.

Always wondered what a mixer might be for the Dew. Not sure I'd waste Crown on it.

Hard to beat a good old fashioned. Also enjoy a made from scratch margarita. Darkhorse is definitely bourbon and lemonade.

For bourbon I prefer an old fashion if I am wanting a "fancy" drink or buffalo trace on the rocks with a cherry. Hot summer day by the pool I am going with Tito's and water with a lime or lemon.

    Frozen peaches
    Peach tea
Benchmark bourbon. (benchmark is a cheap good mixer)

Eat frozen peaches at end of drink. Deliciousness.

In my early drinking days I would mix bourbon with whatever, but generally speaking I am not a mixed drink guy. Bourbon and air is about as creative as I typically get.

What's wrong is coming home and finding your wife and father partaking in an afternoon cocktail of Mtn. Dew and your Maker's 46.

An Old Fashioned was my grandfather's drink of choice for years. Always liked them. They're a go-to if I'm out and getting a cocktail at a nice place.

I don't drink mixed drinks very often. I'm pretty much a beer, red wine, or straight whiskey guy.

1 - I do like Old Fashioneds - prefer rye over bourbon.
2 - An occasional Margarita on the rocks w/salt.
    3 - Moonshine Lemonade.
