    Did you levitate?

Chris Angel claimed he could make people levitate in their home on his show tonight. Ha ha! Seriously, do people believe this?

I've watched that show a few times, and I think I even figured some of his "tricks" out.

I'd like to know how he pulls of the one where he walks on water, and the one where he levitates in the Luxor and above the Luxor.

    I don't believe that it's real...I know there's a trick to it.

    I figured that was it...

They did show a woman waving her hand underneath though...

How would those people not notice the platform...or were they paid to not notice it?

The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed?

So how the heck were you supposed to know if you were levitating, if your eyes were closed?

I've also seen the levitating and walking on water video's. However, some of the levitations I've seen him do is no way the same way he is showing in the video. I saw one instance to where he levitated and actually floated around. Also the walk on water bit really upset me after I saw the video showing how he pulled it off. But, in one of the recent episodes he does the same thing at a lake and it really seemed like it would be difficult to a.) not only set up the clear platforms to walk on in an uneven and deep lakebed, and b.) being able to see the clear platforms to step on. To make my mind spin even more, to prepare for the stunt one sequence shows him and like his brother and a couple other crew taking a boat out into the lake, like out in the middle of it somewhere, and he walks right off the boar and walks on the water a little bit. Like most of you all have said there has to be something behind everything he does, but he is just absolutely amazing as an illusionists.

The two biggest things I have seen lately though that has really blew my mind were a couple street tricks he recently done. In one case he had a deck of cards and called someone from the audience to draw one. The member showed other audience members what the card was, signed her name with a sharpie marker then handed it back to Criss. Well, Criss then picked another person from the audience and asked him to sit down in a chair. The guy was also a bald guy, and for this one you would think the person would about have to be bald. Anyway, Criss put the guy to sleep in just a matter of seconds and although that sounds cheesy it looked like the real deal. Criss then places the card on the top of the guys head and then keeps his hand pressed over it and starts to make like a straining noise and starts shaking his hand. Well when he removed his hand the card was no longer there. He then goes on to do the unthinkable and pulls a scalpel from his pocket. He then goes to cut into the guys scalp with a horizontal cut, and blood just streamed down the back of the guys head and neck. Then Criss takes out a pair of tweezers and goes in and guess what, sure enough there is the exact card, signed and everything that was pulled from inside the guys scalp, the card was all bloody and stuff, and since it was so hard to get out the card actually ripped on him a little as he was pulling, so had to go back in a couple of times to get the entire card out of the guys head. There was like 20 people watching, all blown completely out of their minds stating there's no way any of it could have been fake.

The other instance I was talking about he had another audience of around a dozen or so people. They were standing in front of one of those vending machines in which has a clear sheet of plexi glass over the bottles in which you can see all the selections inside. The one in which a conveyor belt rises to what ever level and the drink drops off to the conveyor and it brings your drink to the slot. Anyway he gets a girl from the crowd to give him a dollar bill, and he he either makes her sign it with a sharpie or gets her to write the serial number of the bill down, I can't really remember which. Anyway he took the bill and kind of like threw it against the machine. All of a sudden, a bottle of Aquafina that was in the machine suddenly has a dollar bill sinking to the bottom of the bottle. He tells the lady to hit E7 (or whatever selection the bottle of water was) and when the bottle came out it was clear that it was still sealed and had not even been open in anyway. Criss then takes a knife out and cuts the bottle open to retrieve the dollar bill. Sure enough it was the same one the girl gave him. I mean being an illusionist he has to be all trickery, and there is even videos and claims on the web to prove a lot of stuff. But it is tricks like these that make me say there's no way that can be faked, how could you fake something like that. Absolutely blows my mind.

Anyone else see these episodes? Those tricks really and truly had me amazed. I've tried to find video clips of these tricks on the internet just because I wanted to see them again and show some of my buddies but I have been unable to find them.

I saw that one, and if you watch it again the dude's head looks very big. I think both were paid actors and the bald guy simply had something fake, which looked like a real head, on top of his head. There is obviously no way he just cut open a stranger's head...that would get him put in jail .

And dolamite, there are plenty of ways to fake it. Those people are most likely paid actors. Just because it's on TV and he says they are real doesn't mean they are real. And just because they act surprised doesn't mean they are really surprised.

I saw one where he some how made the middle part of a woman's body disappear. Now, I know that isn't possible.

Dolamite - Both the card out of the head trick and the dollar in the bottle are just variations on dime store magic tricks mixed with some first class slight of hand. I like Chris Angel, even if he does get a little carred away sometimes. He considers his illusions an art form, and he does them creatively without a lot of over-acting. David Blaine drives me insane.
