Page 4 of So by my count there are over a dozen old threads on BGP dedicated to wings and wings restaurants. I thought I'd try seeing about a "master thread... 53 comments | 5409 Views | Go to page 1 →

BWW is one of my least favorite restaurants ever.

Knockback Nats...on 7th near Vine downtown Cincy. Good n' meaty. They were noticed on one of those diner programs on TV.

How is it possible that Dickmann's in Ft. Wright hasn't been mentioned yet? For me they are the standard to which all other wings I eat are compared. Haven't found any that live up to them yet.

A friend of mine brought over some wings from Echo Valley Winery in Flemingsburg that were pretty good the other night. They almost tasted like they were fried then lightly coated in ghost pepper sauce then thrown on the grill. They were awesome he also had ribs done the same way, but personally I liked the wings better.

I'm absolutely positive Dickmann's was mentioned in at least one of the threads I linked in the second post.

Smoke Justis is good enough and convenient enough to get me to overlook my feelings for its owner, the barn on Orphanage Road is not.

We have a BWR in Bardstown and theirs are pretty good. I love the roasted garlic sauce, and I usually get way more than I can eat in one setting because I like to re-sauce them and slow-smoke them as an app when I’m doing longer-term cooks (ribs, pork butts, etc).

But my regular local place in town is what used to be called Rebecca’s Pepperoni Grill and now is known as Bourbon City Brick Oven Pizza (or something to that effect) has hands-down the best wings in town. The Asian zing and spicy garlic are favorites, but they recently added some new styles such as a Cajun dry-rub (breaded or naked, both are good), and a Nashville Hot that I need to try. Plus they’re 2 bucks off during happy hour.

I had the Kung Pao wings from Black Sheep in Huntington last night, maybe the best non smoked wings I've ever had. Sticky, sweet and spicy sauce, covered in diced shallots and cashews.
