I'm not trying to say that AB InBev doesn't have issues, because clearly they do. However, looking at the big picture, some of the decline in Bud Light sales is due to internal cannibalization from Michelob Ultra sales, which for the past several years has been the beer with the largest growth in sales. Over the last three years sales of Ultra are up 27%. The margins on Ultra are also higher than they are for Bud Light. (Afterall, yellow water has got be be cheaper than producing actual beer). But craft beer is certainly a big factor as well.

I believe this about Mic Ultra. Went to the beach last year and couldn't believe how many people (male and female) had this beer. Used to be mostly that rice beer. Way over half the beer I saw was Ultra.
