Trail run at the fort as soon and much as possible
you can't replicate trails w/ road miles.

Pull-ups and broad jumps will help you tremendously. The website has a workout for prep. Good thing about June is that it isn't October. You won't be freezing.

Today I will go to the gym and do 7 deadlift singles at 285 and then 5 100 yard old man sprints. Just finished the first part of the day and it was AWFUL. 20 minutes. 8 KB snatches per side minute 1 and then 10 2 hand swings 2nd minute. Rotate 9 more times. My blisters are all busted.

I recommend going to a bike shop. I can list many brand names, but the fit will have to be to your body makeup and liking.

We are setting up an obstacle course at the Compound. 100 acres of trails to run, climb, jump, crawl under, etc...

We are currently in the market for some used monkey bars if anyone has a lead.

Have been working the dumbbells at home in the mornings for the last couple of weeks trying to get my elbow comfortable about hitting the gym, all was well and good till this morning. Dumbbells were fine at home. Went to move a box of paper at the office next to the printer to fill it, picked up the paper and felt a pop in my elbow, hurts like crazy and is swelling up a bit, damn.

That sounds like fun, well all but the 285 deadlifts.

Last night did 21 min, sort of EMOM.

1st min - 12 calories on assault bike
    2nd min - 15 Toes to Bar
    3rd min - 6 deadlifts @245 + 6 bar facing burpees
    Repeat 7 times

I did 185 on the deadlifts and end up doing situps instead of toes to bar after the first round.

Not many places to recover a bit in that one. You have to move a little to get 12 calories on the bike per minute.

No doubt. I didn't make it round 5 and 6. Pedaled for 50 seconds then moved on.

    I thought regular thrusters sucked.

My workout yesterday (or today for that matter) was nothing special; however, I did up my one rep max on a squat clean to 225. That was a lot of weight for me and I was pleased.

Reading all of your posts about working out makes me so envious.......
That being said, I'm down 15 lbs since Jan. 2nd just by diet.... 30 lbs to go.
