Does Kentucky Speedway have problems?

Page 2 of I'm sitting here watching the Kentucky Cup practice and I'm seeing a LOT of bouncing around by these race cars. Is the surface at the Speedway that bad... 23 comments | 1481 Views | Go to page 1 →

Drove to Henry County this morning via I-71, smooth sailing all the way at 10 this morning.

Came back via I-64, just in case. A few minutes longer but better safe than sorry.

Came by the Speedway at 7:30 and breezed right through. Got home and verified on the tv what I thought I saw going by...a TON of empty seats.

How many does it seat? I think the first year there were well over 100k. Track hasn't released attendance the last couple of years but I read it was estimated around 70k.

Attendance is down across the sport for the most part. Bristol used to be one of the hardest tickets in all of sports and now they advertise on TV trying to sell tickets.

No complaints here. Plenty of room to keep my son away from all the drunks.

All I know is that Rafferty's in Florence was PACKED on Tuesday due to the race. I was shocked.

You didn't stop by Racer's as part of the festivities?

Guy I work with was there Sat. night. Said it was about half full. Looked that way on TV. He also told me that concessions ran out of food well before the end of the race.
