5th Region Rankings (Week 4)

By ACfan4 - 5th Region Rankings (12-27-15) 1. North Hardin (8-2)- North Hardin participated in the KOB this past week defeating Ballard and Fern Creek, but losing to Bullitt East. Then they lost to Male in the first round of the Lake Cumberland Holiday Classic which started Sunday. 2. Taylor Co. (4-3)- Taylor Co. played in the KOB this past week defeating Waggener, but losing to Owen Co. and Central. They defeated West Jessamine, LCA (for a second time this season) and Eastern to win the Woodford County Invitational. Player of the Week: Isaiah Tisdale, Henry Clay – Led his team to 4 double digit wins at the Berea Invitational. Had 17 points and 12 rebounds in the championship game. By The Scribe - 10 of the 15 teams in the Second Region will be participating in post-Christmas holiday tournaments all across the Central/Southern United States this week. After a 1-2 finish at the Louisville PRP Panther Classic, Hopkinsville will try and get back on track in one of the toughest holiday tournaments in the Southeast. The Tigers (5-4) will play Baptist Prep (5-4) of Little Rock, Arkansas Monday at 3:30 in the Next Level Hoops Classic at Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville. There is not much difference separating the #2 and number 11 or 12 ranked teams... 1.Meade Co(9-0 SAME) - The Waves got big region wins over Breck and Hancock last week. The Tigers were a good early season test for Meade but they got the 7-63 win on the road. By Les - 1. Clay County Tigers (8-1) — We've got a new No. 1 team. The Tigers dominated during their stay in Las Vegas by going 3-1 in the Tarkanian Classic. Clay County had wins of 24, 29, and 17 points before losing int he finals to Cheyenne, Nevada, 71-67. Seniors Blake Smith and Trey Farmer continue to shine, as the duo had outstanding efforts in Las Vegas. Smith scored 28 points in the title game while Farmer followed with a 20-point effort.
