9th Region Week 3 Review: A couple highs and more then a couple of lows.

By PP1 - An odd week in the 9th. Some teams did really well, while others certainly did not. A nice story is the news that Bellevue has a new 3-point leader in Ratterman. Some of those small towns in Campbell County have been able to produce pretty decent basketball players over the years. As far as the rankings go there is a lot to talk about from 7-11. I expect some discord and I dove into the numbers as best I could. Throw questions my way and I’ll be happy to explain, 1. Cooper (6-1): Cooper had a great week with wins over Ryle, Beechwood, and Fern Creek. Coach Sullivan and the Jags had a... Read More →

By All State Baseball - We’re three weeks into the season and we have a lot left to desire. Outside of region opponents, the 14th region took a beating this past week. For the 14th region to make any noise at the state tournament, they are gonna have to start playing better, with that said, let’s take a look back at week 3. 1) Knott County Central (5-2): The Patriots remain at #1 this week despite a 30-point loss at the hands of Shelby Valley on Saturday in the Buffalo Wild Wings Shootout at Pike County Central. 12th Region Week 3 Review: A Leader Emerges

By TDC - Week 3 included a few of the best matchups of the season, some that came down to the final possession and some that were surprisingly one-sided. Now that the dust has settled there is only one team that survived the week unscathed, ascending to the top of the 12th Region as the clear #1: the Danville Admirals. Danville has now defeated Region contenders West Jessamine, Mercer County and Wayne County on their way to a 5-0 start. The Admirals are athletic, they have balance on offense and can score inside and out, and if they continue to defend as they have so far this season they will be tough... Read More →

4th Region Week 3 Review

By DragonFire - 1) Warren Central (4-0) - 12/10 84-62 W at #3 Glasgow, 12/13 82-44 W #16 Franklin-Simpson Previous Rank: 1 This Week: 12/20 vs. Macon County (TN) (at Gatlinburg-Pittman), 12/21 vs. TBA (at Gatlinburg-Pittman), 12/22 vs. TBA (at Gatlinburg-Pittman) The Dragons just keep trucking along. They're unbeaten, and all four of their games have featured scores of 80+ by the Central offense. 1st Region Week 2 Review

By silo11 - Mayfield proved they deserved the No. 1 ranking for now, but they have to continue to play at a high level to do so as Tilghman, McCracken, Marshall, and Graves all are playing well and can make a run to the top. Meanwhile Community Christian and St. Mary are playing surprisingly well and have moved out of the bottom of the rankings. The big news is that Zion Harmon maybe close to playing for the Marshals, we will see, in the meantime here are the rankings for week 2. 1. Mayfield – Coach Chris Guhy BGP #9 2018-19 record: 1-2 Week’s Record: 1-2 Mayfield silenced any Region 1 critics... Read More →

2nd Region Week 2 Review

By silo11 - While things at the top of Region 2 haven’t changed a whole lot, there was quite a bit of activity in the middle and lower rankings of the region. Dawson Springs pulled off the biggest upset this week, and Caldwell County looks to have righted the ship. The number two and three teams will have a shot at staking their claim at the top position as they play UHA this week. 1. University Heights Academy – Coach Grant Shouse BGP#3 2018-19 record: 4-0 Week’s Record: 1-0 The Blazers didn’t have much competition this week. They defeated Todd County Central 110 – 66. Drew McGowan led UHA... Read More →

3rd Region Week 2 Review

By ApolloFan98 - Last week kicked off with a battle between #1 and #2 in Breckenridge County and Owensboro Catholic. The game lived up to the hype, as both teams battled it out until the very end. I came away with the impression that this region may not be as down as previously thought. Tim Riley has the Aces looking like a version of his old Warren Central teams, early on. They pressure the ball non stop and play at a very high tempo that is fun to watch. Speaking of Warren Central, Owensboro played the Dragons very well. The Devils actually led them heading into the 4th quarter before giving away... Read More →

11th Region Week 2 Review

By mooremiller31 - Another crazy week in the 11th Region with some entertaining and interesting inter region match ups. The only thing certain about the 11th right now is their is a unanimous #1 and a pretty solid #2, after that I'm not sure you couldn't put #3 - #10 in a hat and draw them out anyway you want to. Once again a lot of moving and shaking in the middle of the pack. Team Rankings 1. Scott County (5-0) - Another week another set of big wins for the Cardinals. Both games were dominant performances with a 38 point win at LCA and a 42 point win over Frederick Douglass. Michael Moreno continues... Read More →
